Winter

     In the winter I would recommened to drive this just because it does have 4wheel drive which is very much needed with Minnesota winters. You can get very good grip with how the front end is leaning forward and back end up. It all comes down to the tires tho. If you have crap tires then your winter will suck but if you have big, thick tires you'll recieve more grip. I don't usually drive my truck in the winter time just because I have low pro's on my truck and very little tread. But the Dodge Rumble Bee can definitley handle snow, with the Hemi engine in it. Most people have to put sand bags in the back of their truck, but I never needed to. But unlike most cars, they don't have 4wheel drive so its harder for them to get around. I enjoy being able not being that person who ends up in the ditch because they didnt have 4wheel drive or good tires. In my opinion my truck deserves an 9/10 for winter driving.

Test Drive

I drive this truck usually daily for school, going back and forth, and to hang with buddies. I enjoy this truck because it offers the ability to sit higher then most trucks and yet have a sporty edge of an Audi. When I take off I don't have to give it much gas to get up and go. I can easy spin the tires without holding the breaks if I'd like to. It has very good controlling at low speeds as well as high speeds, like on the freeway. It is very mobile since it has 4x4, so I can still go off road even though its made for pavement. I have never taken my truck off-roading, because I have 22 low pros, which dont give me very good tread or traction in the mud. It can handle sharp corners dece, it doesnt sit low to the ground so its not the best on tight turns, but its not the worst. Since Minnesota is getting into winter, that means snow is approaching, and this is the worst time for bad tires. Thanks to this truck you have very tractionable tires, that perform the best. But like any tire they get worn out over time so you will have to change them from Summer to Winter.

Most people when they see this truck think its awesome, but not everyone has the same view. When people see this truck it is unmistakable and easy to see. It can be a very flashy truck in some people eyes. They see the Bee logo on the two back bed sides, and know. They come with regular stock tires that are not the best, but they get by. Once you open up the door the interior is nothing you have seen before. It comes with its own yellow dash plaque, with yellow radio face. You can also buy many different interior yellow parts that belong with the rumble bee. The safety features are not "up to date" but are signifacant enough that you will be fine, if you get in a accident with it. The next thing is the performance part. It comes with a 5.7L Hemi Magnum motor, which is stock. This produces about 345 H.P. and 375lbs of torque. This is very powerful in a truck and is well deserved. The tranny in these are very reliable and you can put well over 100,000 milese and it still runs like teh day you got it. I find this truck to be very nice and reliable. I would recommened people to buy this truck if they ever get the chance to.

 

Rumble bee costs

The Rumble Bee costs usually around 20 grand. I got mine for about $18,500, which was a fair price. I think that this a good price for this truck. I mean your buying a specail edition truck, that only came out in 2 years, and with only two colors to pick from. Compared to a 2005 dodge ram truck (which is around 13 grand) you pay about 5 grand more for all of the upgrades you get. In my eyes is quit a bit more but it's definitely worth it, because the value of a Rumble Bee could increase in 20 years, because of the special edition. If you can buy one i say that you should buy it, because there are not a lot of them and a very few of them are for sale.   

My Rumble Bee

My Rumble Bee is one of a kind. Everyone knows my truck when they see it. It is very noticable in public because no one else in MN has one like me. My truck has two yellow shelby racing strips going from the front to the spoiler. Yes, my truck has a spoiler on it also. On the tailgate it has a custom made Rumble Bee logo which is painted on by a professional. I have modded out my truck also to make it even faster. I put a weapon air intake which adds not a lot but it is usually the first mod people do for their vehicle. I also put a throttle body, bigger cams, bigger injectors, superchip, and exhaust. It is up to about ~480 H.P. and im not sure about how much torque there is, probably around 500 too. I use this as a daily driver through the summer but when winter comes I store it because i dont get very good traction with them and they are 22's. It is very fun to drive around in and all my friends usually want to drive it. In the future I want to add a supercharger to really boost up the H.P.. It would make the truck just that much faster.

The Rumble Bee got its name from a car in the 1960's-70's. It was called a Dodge Super Bee, which also bear the "Bee" logol. Also the Dodge charger and Challenger had this symbol also in the earlier years. This truck is a very specail edition that Dodge came out with to bring back the old super bee name. This truck is a contribute to the old Super Bee which is cool. Most people have never heard of them nor seen them. Most owners garage them because of their value and not a lot of people in Minnesota have one because of the winters, which bring salt and rust. I was lucky and my dad bought me this as a first car, which is very nice. There isn't a pickup out there that can compare or be as of a special edition as much as this truck. The Rumble Bee’s main feature, of course, is its 5.7-litre Hemi, putting out 345hp and 375 ft-lbs of torque. The truck comes in any color you like, as long as it’s either yellow or black, with the distinctive “bumblebee stripe” on the rear of the box. It’s definitely a looker; people stopped to stare at it as I drove down the street. The name is a throwback to 1968, when Dodge souped up the Coronet and dubbed it the Super Bee. Rumble Bee continues the heritage, though. It’s incredibly powerful, and once you get in its groove, it’s a hell of a lot of fun.

Exterior

The limited edition Dodge Rumble Bee came with only two colors that you could pick from. It was either the solar yellow or black. Each truck is equipped with a "Bee Striped" on each side of the rear box. The black trucks had yellow stripes while the yellow trucks have the black stripes. The stripe bears a more modernized "Scat Pack Bee" logo that can be found on the past Dodge Super Bee cars. Now most people think my truck (which is a black one) is better looking then the solar yellow ones. I can definitely agree with that. The truck comes with a appearance package which makes it "badass looking." It comes with painted bumpers, and bright grille inserts. The package also included a chrome-plated fuel door, chrome-plated exhaust tip, lower rocker panel fascia or "ground effects", and a hood scoop. The hood scoop was unfortunitley non-funtioning, but I made it funtional. This exterior of the Dodge Rumble Bee is one that screams fast and loud!

Interior

     The Dodge Rumble Bee has a very distinct interior that nothing else matches it. It has a special center dash plaque that makes every truck its own special truck. This is painted gloss yellow and shows the limited edition production number. The premium door handles sported special gloss yellow inserts along with the "Bee" on them. All Rumble Bee's come with cloth seats, which most people can upgrade to leather if they please. I think that this interior could be better, but yet I have never seen any other car with these same features which makes this truck so special. Most people enjoy the interior and when I take my buddies for a drive they would never have guessed the interior looked so good and seats felt good. Most people don't know about the plaques nor the yellow inserts.

     The Dodge Rumble Bee comes with a Hemi Magnum 5.7L V8. It is one of the fastest trucks that was out that year. It comes with 345 horsepower and 375 pound-feet of torque.The engine is a cast iron block fitted with aluminum heads, and features a bore of 3.92 inches and stroke of 3.58 inches. I have experienced this power in this truck and have very muched enjoyed it. But in mine I modded it out and made it even faster. When people see this most people think it cant be that fast, but with the hemi V8 it delievers the power and is able to beat most cars and trucks.

2005 dodge rumble bee

    The 2005 Dodge Rumble Bee is a limited edition from Dodge. The real Rumble Bee's only came out in 2004 and 2005. In 2004 they called it the "First Swarm" and they only made 3700 of them. In 2005 it was called "Second Swarm" and only made 5000 of them. But early buyers of the “limited edition” Dodge Ram Rumble Bee are upset that production numbers seem to have exceeded 3700 units, a number they believed would be the limit when they purchased their trucks. Every truck gets its own numbered dash plaque. I have the 2005 edition, with a dash plaque #3507 Some people mimic these rumble bees and just put the decals on. I dont think that's right since they didnt actually buy one. I bought mine two summers ago and i had to import it from Oklahoma. Down there it was used as a show truck and has very few miles. I defintley enjoy this truck and use it daily, except for when winter comes I store it in my garage. I store it because of the salt in the winter, I dont want it to rust or scratch my paint job.

2012 Dodge Charger R/T Max. Still can't believe I bought a Dodge, but I sure am glad I did. Remarkable car! Rides like a luxury car, but handles magnificently for such a large and heavy car. The 8.4 Navi is very intuitive. The Beats Audio produces very rich sound. Good fit and finish. There are just too many feature to mention. It's a great car! Reminds me of a Mercedes. The relationship with them has definitely payed off. Well executed car if you can get past the Dodge stigma. Only issue so far with the car has been the questionable finish on some areas of the paint. Besides that, I am concerned with Chrysler service. Hasn't been great thus far, not even close to how I was treated by the Nissan network.

I love my new 2012 Charger but am a little unsure about the 8 speed transmission. It up shifts smoothly but tends to downshift harsh when coming to a stop, usually between 5-10 mph, it seems to " clunk" into low and there is a slight jerk in the car when this happens. The car has about 600 miles on it and doesn't do this all the time. Maybe I need to break it in with a few more miles before I complain to much about it to the service department.

   The 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 comes closer than the previous generation at actually deserving to wear that iconic “charger” badging. This charger really has that muscle car feel radiating from it, making the driver feel pretty tough while driving this monster. Its intimidating exterior is made possible by the factory aero, aggressive front fascia, and its stance. The car’s stance is set off by its factory 20-inch wheels and the fact that it sits much lower than it used too.

   Its aggressive look and stance is equally matched by its superior performance. The 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 came with a 6.1-liter Hemi V-8 that produces 425 hp, however, the 2012 300 SRT8 received the 6.4-liter Hemi V-8, first appearing in the 2011 Challenger SRT8 392. This new engine can produce 470 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque, meaning it has a 40 hp gain and an additional 45 lb-ft more of torque. Chrysler estimates that the “0-60 mph acceleration is in the high 4-second range.”

   The transmission for the 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 is a 5-speed automatic that is also seen in the base model except it doesn’t include the paddle shifters on the steering wheel. The one complaint we have about this car is that the brakes are a little moody, sometimes working well and other times, it’s difficult to brake. Other than this, the car has more than enough power to handle what you throw at it. The official top speed is right at 175 mph but we feel that it might have a little more pep than that and is able to stop from 60-0 mph in 120 feet. The new Charger SRT8 comes equipped with four-piston Brembo calipers, the 14.2-inch rotors in the front and the 13.8-inch discs in the back. Seeing how this car is still a sedan, realistically it’s going to be pretty heavy. The official curb weight is 4,365 lbs.

The 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 has a new 8.4-inch color instrument panel that’s has a touchscreen display. Our favorite part about this instrument panel is the different digital gauges that let you know your steering angle, horsepower and torque outputs. These gauges have a cool blue lighting that we found provided a very relaxing experience. We also like the fact that this long vehicle has blind spot indicators making it easy to maneuver in this rather larger sedan. The interior redefines what you would expect from Dodge. Pricing starts at $46,795, which is pretty reasonable for such a luxurious, performance-driven machine!

     The high-performance model in Dodge's full-size charer sedan lineup, the ChargerSRT8, is a blast from the past that also happens to include a dose of modern refinement. Muscle-car styling, a mighty 6.4-liter V8 and rear-wheel-drive all hearken back to the Motown metal glory days of the 1960s, while a high-tech adjustable suspension and upscale interior and make the Charger SRT8 feel like a modern luxury sedan.
     Lurking in the engine bay is a 392 cubic-inch V8 that produces 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. That's enough power to scoot the big sedan from zero-to-60 mph in the mid four-second range. The quarter-mile flashes by in under 13 seconds, and top speed is a claimed 175 mph.
     A five-speed automatic with paddle shifters sends power to the rear wheels, while a cylinder deactivation system can shut down half of the V8's cylinders in cruising situations to save fuel. The EPA rates gas mileage at 14 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway.
Four-piston Brembo calipers and vented and slotted rotors measuring 14.2-inches up front and 13.8-inches in the rear help bring the action to a halt.
     To help the SRT8 fly through the turns, Dodge fits the sedan with an adaptive damping suspension that measures a number of inputs such as vehicle speed, steering angle, steering speed, brake torque, throttle position and lateral acceleration to automatically tune and adjust the suspension for optimal handling on the fly.
